Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our blog! Here we will be posting our ideas and our progress on our project as we continue to work on it.

  2. Are we buying art tools for the art department with the money we raise? What in particular are we doing with the money we raise? Anyone can leave a response!

  3. I left questions on the brainstorming/questions document on google docs. Please check out what was posted and answer if you can. I also came up with another idea on how to have money to carry out the project. Feel free to add any more information elsewhere for everyone to see!

  4. I created a spreadsheet to keep track of our spending money. This spreadsheet will include the money that everyone gets and the money that everyone spends ! It will not be completed until we find out how much money we are getting for our project

  5. In order to make our products, should we just use what is available to us at school or should we ask for money from the school. And price our products more than the materials we used in order to make commission? Or are we just using money out of our own pockets?

    1. For most of the projects and items that we will be making, we can probably use the stuff in the art room. To make a sample of the t-shirts, I think it would be easiest to do it out of pocket? Or everyone could pitch in a few dollars.

  6. Today, Sierra and I worked on the Mission Statement for our project. It basically says that we are going to try our hardest to make as much money for the art department as we can. It says why we are doing this, and what we are trying to accomplish by raising the money.

  7. Today we worked on writing the mission statement,I think it is good for the most part its good but if anyone has anything to add to it put it in! I also added my contact information. What should we start doing to get the project going?

Today we found some different art projects we can work on as a group to make more money for the art department.I think that we pretty much have all the projects picked out on what we are going to do they are pretty neat,I put a link to the websites on the resources page,If anyone else has any other ideas put them in there. We also shortened up our mission statement and finalized the ideas that everyone will be doing and how we are going to make this work. The project is going along smoothly so far and should be a fun experience!

  9. Today we worked on coming up with some other ideas that we could use to make some more money for the art department. We found some really cool designs that we could make, and some other little creative items we could do. All easy to make, but look really cool. I think I'll be making one of the donation boxes after school today, and I know a lot of people that I could maybe ask if they'd want to collaborate and help with us raising money for the art department. I could ask for donations. That, or, my brother is really good at drawing. Maybe if he would be willing to, he'd draw some stuff, and give it to us to sell to make some extra money. Today, we also fixed the Mission Statement. We made it shorter, and more like a Mission Statement.

Today I started to look over different templates for our flyers. http://www.stocklayouts.com/Templates/Print-Ad/Print-Ad-Templates-Designs-Library.aspx This is the website I was getting ideas from. We still need to come up with a name or a group title to display. Sarah and I also talked about starting the instagram page. This will be another way of advertising. Our highschool friends and many more can see our artwork and what our project consist of. I also made a spreadsheet to keep track of our money we spend. When we receive the money, we will split it up evenly. Everyone will get a share so they can use it on their projects that we will be making. Ill have to keep track of the money we would have to spend to do this project. I also finalized the mission statement. I looked over it and reworded some things to make it look a little better.

  11. So far this week I have been trying to get everything together so we can start to figure out exactly what we are doing for our project. I created a finalized ideas document for everyone to see the steps we are doing for our project. I also added ideas that we could do and everyone seemed to like the ideas that were presented. I have also been in contact with my group members to try to increase the amount of communication that is necessary for this project.   12. Tomorrow Andrew and I are going to bring the supplies to make the donation boxes,we finalized our ideas on what projects we will be doing and we should be ready to get going on our projects. I contacted the people in our group and let them know what we are planing on doing and I also asked some questions that I needed to know today went pretty smooth!

  13. Today We worked on a flyer it went by pretty nicely and it is almost done it is very colorful. I also put a few pictures on one of the slides in the slide show. The flyer took up a pretty big chunk of our time so thats what we did the majority of the time.

  14. Today I checked out some more art designs. I also came up with a few more questions for O'Leary. And I also thought about this fundraiser thing, and I don't know how well it's going to turn out. As in, I'm not sure how we're going to be able to get that many people to go to the fundraiser. We started working on an idea for a flyer. It's on computer #14, if you want to take a look. It's just called Art Department Flyer I believe. My donation box is at home, about ready to get put out somewhere. Other than that, I think the group is doing good. We really need to meet up, so hopefully I'll make it here on time monday morning, I'm not sure if I'll be able to. I should be here though.

  15. Today I worked on the flyers. I got the first one all the way complete. I started another one for the showing of art work that we will be having at carroll high. They look awesome. I put the links on our flyer document. If anyone has opinions or thoughts, please fill free to add any. We need to decide what day we would do this and where we would be having it.
